Don't Quit Your Dreams

Dreams: we all have them. Goals we want to accomplish, a thought we want to see come to reality, or ideas we want to create and make come true. We as people dream so much, yet sometimes, if we don't see it happen as quickly as we want it to, or maybe it's not going according to how we envisioned it, we can become disappointed, to the point where we let go of that dream. I've been there so many times, it hurts to think about.

I can give you one example that doesn't sting too much to talk about. In June of last year, I started "The Pastel Princess" and created my blog! I didn't do much with my blog until November, and between then to January, my views and traffic on my blog has been great! I was so happy and excited to see that people are viewing my blog and are interested in what I have to say. However, this numbers haven't been the greatest. I rarely got views and my traffic was in the negatives. I saw so many other bloggers on social media gushing about how their views and subscribers have been amazing, and here I am focusing on my lows.

Honestly, this month, I truly did question if what I was doing is what's meant for me. Isn't it funny how that works? We're so into seeing results now, we can be so impatient, but we're human, so it's not completely our fault. Even though I had those thoughts, after crying about it, and after talking it out, I needed to do something about this. I couldn't expect results without putting in the effort, so I decided to get more involved with my blogging community. I tweeted my social media links on Twitter, interacted with other bloggers I haven't spoken to, and just post my blog out as much as I could. Before I knew it, my traffic and views got better again!

Now, they're still in the negatives, but it's getting better, and that's something. When it comes to our dreams, if we don't see the results we want quickly, or nothing has happened, we can't just automatically give up and throw it away. Any dream your heart desires is achievable, even if we don't believe it! In order to make our dreams become reality, we have to put in the work. Just sitting and waiting for it to happen does nothing (trust me, I've tried it several times),

Do you have a dream of an amazing project that can inspire or entertain people? You can make it happen! Is there something you've been wishing or praying for every day? It can be obtained! To make those dreams a reality, we have to work on ourselves and put the proper work into the dream to make it happen. I know it's hard, I know you may not feel you can do it because you believe or have been told you can't, but I promise you that you can. I may or may not know you, but I believe in you. I know that any dream your heart desires can become reality because I know you can do it.

Don't get me wrong, I still struggle with this because, as I stated, I'm human. Just last night, I broke down crying my eyes because of several reasons, but one being that I'm not seeing my dreams coming true. I question my dreams, I question if what I'm dreaming will ever happen; so I know the struggle very well. Even if you feel the lowest of lows when it comes to your dreams, never give up. Your heart formed that dream for a reason, so you can't give up now. I know I sound like a total motivational speaker right now, but my words are sincere and honest! If there's one thing I want you to take away from this, it's that even if you don't see results quickly, or if you doubt yourself on your dreams, this is your sign to not give up. Never give up on your dreams, you have too much to lose. Besides, don't you want to prove the people that doubted you wrong?

I want to end this post with a song that popped up in my head as I was writing this. If I have any Disney fans reading, remember "Cinderella"? Well, here's a song from the Disney movie that's all about dreams!

In the comments, let me know what gets you motivated to follow your dreams and make them a reality. Is it a friend, family member, social media, the world, it can be anything! As always, thank you so much for reading. Comment, like, share, and subscribe!
