Shower Routine

Hello readers! First off, happy March! Today is extremely windy to the point where roof tiles in my neighborhood are flying off. So if you're also dealing with high winds today, be careful and stay safe! So today, I thought I could share with you all my shower routine! Before I start, I want to put a quick disclaimer: I am not sponsored by any of these brands, however, I do enjoy these products and I'm a big fan of the brands! With that all said, let's get started!

So the first two products I'm going to list aren't necessarily what I do every time I shower, but I use these products during my shower time if I haven't washed my face yet.

So one of the products I use to wash my face in the morning is from Lush! This is a cleanser called Dark Angels, and it's a great product to use if you want to remove excess oil or prevent acne, which is perfect for me because I have dry, oily, and acne-prone skin. Plus, you can use it on your body too! Side note, the product smells exactly like Fruit Loops, just saying. You can buy it on the Lush website here!

Another face wash I've been using is the Pacifica Crystal Foam Sparkling Clean Face Wash. It's used to give your face a nice shine and leaves it feeling very smooth. I adore the smell! It smells like a hint of watermelon, but it's very light and airy. Apparently it's sold out on their website, but I bought mine at Ulta, so check it out there!

Now onto the products I use when I shower! The first item I use it from Soap & Glory, and it's called The Scrub of Your Life. I use it once a week to give any parts of my body that feel rough a really nice smooth texture. It has a grapefruit-like scent, but I do have to warn you, if you're not into using a product with scrubbing beads, probably don't use it, but I love this product and it helps my skin so much. You can buy it on the Soap & Glory website!

Another product from Lush! This is their shampoo bar called Soak and Float. Now, never in my life have I used a shampoo bar. I was a little hesitant at first, but the employee there told me how simple it is to use, and she was right! Sadly, wording it makes no sense, so watch this video from Lush to understand how to use it! I don't really know how to explain the scent. It's very Earthy or woodsy, but it works great if you have a dry, itchy scalp (like I do). Click here to buy it on Lush's website.

Oh snap, it's another Lush product. This time, it's conditioner, and it's called Veganese. The employee at Lush also recommended this product for me (perfect for anyone that has fine or thin hair like I do), and I enjoy it! It gives my hair a nice shine and doesn't make me feel like I'm trying to save pieces of my hair when conditioning. The website says it has a lemon smell, but from my experience, it really doesn't have a smell, so if you're not a fan of strong scented conditioners and have thin hair, this is a good one for you. You can also buy this on Lush's website.

I do want to give these products an honorary mention because although I've been using the Lush shampoo bar and conditioner more, these two are great as well! These are from The Body Shop, and if you've been reading my blog for months, you'll remember that I actually mentioned the shampoo here! The shampoo is the Ginger Scalp Care Shampoo, and I highly recommend this if you struggle with dandruff. After using it for a week or two, my dandruff was gone. I will say that it has a very strong ginger smell, but it's still good! For the conditioner, I used the Banana Truly Nourishing Conditioner. It did help my ends feel very smooth, and it leaves your hair with a yummy banana smell! You can buy the shampoo here and the conditioner here.

Next is body wash! Now, I am showing you two different body washes I use because one is a seasonal, but one you can buy anywhere any time. So let me start with the seasonal, which is the Lush Shower Cream called Santa's Christmas. Now I saw a YouTuber mention this  product, and her description sold me on the product. I originally bought it on the Lush website in a smaller size, but recently bought a larger one on the app Mercari. Let me tell you, this shower cream will make your bathroom smell like soda. It smells so good and it honestly leaves my body feeling very soft and no itchy feeling after I shower! The only downside I can list is that it is a seasonal product (you can only buy it, I think, during December), and if you have a shower curtain or liner, it may stain it, so be careful!

The second product is the Method Moisturizing Body Wash. It's has a very nice aloe or olive smell, and it leaves my body feeling very soft and smooth. I bought mine at Bed Bath and Beyond, but you can also buy it for a cheaper price at Target.

Now the next products I'll be listing are products I use AFTER I shower.

So after I shower, I struggle with very dry feet. I've been using the Curél Ultra Healing lotion for years and it's the only product I've used that has kept my feet very soft after a shower. I put some of this on my feet, rub, and then cover my feet for an hour or two with some fuzzy socks (who doesn't love fuzzy socks?) and that's it! You can honestly buy this at any drug store or retailer store like Walmart or Target.

Now before you ask, I do own this product, however, I did not take a photo of it because the ones I own have dropped so many times (by accident) that they are all scratched up on the outside. This product I will only recommend if you struggle with eczema or psoriasis. This is the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. When I originally bought this product, I only wanted the repair cream, however, for $20, I got the cream and skin protectant. With this, I first use the repair cream anywhere I have eczema or psoriasis (such as my left knee, right elbow, and both my wrists), then, I use the skin protectant on top of where I put the repair cream. While the repair cream is very smooth and light, in both texture and scent, the skin protectant is thicker and had a grapefruit scent. Also a side note, you can also use this on your face, not just your body. I did buy the mini set at Ulta, but you can also buy it on First Aid Beauty's website here as well as buying the full size on their website!

We are down to the last product! This is also an item I mentioned in my self-care post, and I still use it! It's from The Body Shop and it is their Body Butter. Once I put my repair cream on, I rub the body butter anywhere on my body, such as my legs, arms, stomach, and neck. It honestly leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft (I know I said smooth and soft a lot, but it's true). My go-to scent is the grapefruit one, where you can also buy on The Body Shop's website here! If you're not a fan of grapefruit, I also recommend the mango scent as well as the strawberry scent.

So that is it for my shower routine! I know this is a pretty long one, but I wanted to give a ton of love to items that help me feel fresh and clean when I shower. In the comments, let me know what are your favorite items when it comes to your shower routine. It can be a shampoo, conditioner, body wash, facial scrub, or lotions! As always, thank you so much for reading, comment, like, share, and subscribe!
